Splash from the Past: Accessories

welcome back for another splash from the past post!
yesterday we did some shopping for retro swimwear looks and today is all about accessories!
Some people think that you don't need to accessorize a swim suit, wrong! Every swimsuit provides an opportunity to finish the look with complimentary accessories!

if your suit is classic or basic, your cover up look should...
Since your suit is simple and chic, bring some light into your look with a dramatic color pallet and shocking shilhoette. A maxi skirt is comfortable enough for the beach and when paired with wedges, will help make your legs look longer!

if your suit is a colorful two piece, your cover up should...
Keep the neon-esuqe color pallet going with citrus inspired colors and accessories. When pairing colors, try contrasting hues: the peachy pink pairs perfectly with this citrus lime colored suit, and hombre is on trend for spring!

if your suit and style is girlie and fun, your cover up should be...
You suit should compliment your cover-up look and your personal style. Also, try and make your cover-up outfit something you would wear on an average day despite a trip to the pool. By pairing a one piece with casual pieces and tucking it into a big belt and flirty skirt, this look transforms from swimwear to street style, making it appropriate for almost anything.

If these cover-up looks weren't for you, here are a few more options for finishing the look! Sunnies and wedges are a summer must, but try some unexpected yet bold summer accessories such as a a big hat or a silk scarf to tie around your head, neck or your favorite bag.

Special thanks to Jordan for submitting a request that inspired this post! Check out the rest of the reader requests or submit one of your own via twitterfacebook or email
