Today, we're working with the basics! In a post filled with investment worthy basic pieces from kate spade as well as some of my other favorite designers! Lets get started!
As you all know, I'm a bit of a katespade-aholic (who are we kidding, I'm totally obsessed). But since kate can be a wee bit pricey sometimes, it may be wise to invest in a few basic yet bold pieces that you can get a lot of use out of for years to come...
Did you know...
That each month kate spade comes out with a list of the top investment pieces, which are basics, with a twist!? Ask an associate at your nearest kate spade (or just ask me!) and they can fill you in with each top investment pieces for each collection to help guide your shopping experience!
Now, let's make the most of these basics.
As I've mentioned before, I received my bow ring a year and a half ago as a gift, and I have worn it almost everyday since! My hand feel so naked without it!
A bright handbag, colorful studs and idiom bangles are also great spade investments that you can get continuous use out of.
For apparel, try a basic black and white skirt with a touch of whimsy! This versatile city scape skirt from fall 2012 can be worn for work or play for years to come. Finish the look with a basic bow belt!
more basics (mine aren't from kate, but yours could be) include bold comfy pumps to brighten up any outfit, a bright statement necklace and a basic white blouse, to layer or wear on its own! mine has a bow... of course!
top: bow blouse, trina turk. bag: new bond street florence in shocking pink, kate spade. skirt: city lights, kate spade. belt: gathered bow belt, kate spade. necklace: all eyes on you, kenneth jay lane. earrings: gumdrop studs, kate spade. shoes: medugorje, john Fluevog. bracelets: idom bangles, kate spade
gorgeous as always! is it January yet?! move here already! xoxo

DeleteI love the way you styled that city lights skirt! I am having trouble with mine. I always seem to wear it with the same thing over and over...

Thanks Sandee! I can understand how you would run into trouble with this one! Just think of it as a basic black skirt and style it as you would a basic!
