Snip Snip

So did something sort of implosive; I surprised myself when I wondered into a hair salon last week and let the stylist get scissor happy with mid-length locks and change my color for the first time in years!
I never really change my hair, not because I love my current (well, previous) look, but just because I don't know what else to do with it. Although I am continually expierementing with fashion, I tend to keep my hair as a solid constant ... black or dark brown, messy bed-head waves and shoulder length with a side part and swoop bang.

I decided to draw inspiration for my new do from Ciara in the Body Party music video.
I'm obsessed with Ciara, mostly because she is everything that I'm not: tall, athletic, a fantastic singer (I'm crazy tone def) and somewhat of a tom-boy, with a crazy bod that oozes sex appeal. But I'm not and never will be a "hottie", I pride myself on being quirky yet adorkable, so I was nervous that it would turn out too flirty for my geeky personality. I was also terrified of adding color to my hair because I was afraid to see how it would affect my clothing choices! And I purposely didn't give myself time  to think about the change, because I would have probably backed out!
My hair has a lot of reddish undertones, so it came out more auburn then I would have liked (I wanted to be as blonde as Ciara ... maybe next time!) but after a few days of mirror double-takes I think I have finally adjusted to my new do!

What do you think of my new look, is it a do or a don't?!
I would love to hear from you, Mwah!
