layering (yes, i'm hyping layering again, don't judge me) can help you transform a few pieces into very different outfits!
for today's outfit I layered an orange and white shirt over one of my favorite courtney green (yes, courtney green, not kelly green, because no one named kelly loves this color as much as I do) dressess. oh & if that didn't excite you, my pup waffles joined my for this post!
with the bright colors and simple patterns, this look is a little bit preppy! in fact, my looks seem to be getting preppier and preppier lately. i'm really not too surprised my style always switches up during the fall, believe it or not, a few seasons ago I went edgy (crazy, i know!)
layering a shirt over a dress is an easy way to switch up your look and make people look twice. something as simple as knotting your top at the waist will help cinch your center and define your waist. wearing a top over also allows your favorite dress to double as a sassy skirt!
top: h&m (spring) // dress: amanda uprichard (worn under) // shoes: john fluevog (on sale!!!! i'm so obsessed with mine, i'm about to buy a second pair! they are beyond adorable && so comfortable!) // handbag: diy (coming soon) // scarf: vintage // earrings: coach // necklace: j.crew // arm party: kate spade// j.crew // sequin // kate spade bangle x3 // sequin // vintage // sequin
before you go, i want your thoughts on this looks color combo? i rarely pair green && orange together for fear of looking like a carrot, but i think if you use the right shades && throw in some white, it works! do you agree? i even think it would make a really cute color combo for home decor! here's what i was thinking...
as always, tell me what you're thinking! until next time, stay fabulous.
Green and orange is the color scheme of my apartment! We have a green with turquoise leanings on the walls, white, khaki, beige, and espresso furniture, with pops of red-orange, and it's my happy place :)
