Incase you haven't noticed, it's my birthday week so we're celebrating all week long on the blog!

 today we're taking a look back at one of my favorite birthday celebrations of all time... my mad hatter tea party brought to you as part of my party planning segment: hopeless hostess!

it's my birthday week, so we're celebrating all week long on color me courtney, yay!

i love to plan parties and give gifts... to other people! but when the tables are turned, it's hard for me to sit back and receive (i think it's a weird controlling thing!) so i'm kicking off this week by celebrating all of by giving away one of my go-to earring styles!

the lucky winner will get to pick their gift from two kate spade options: a new pair of coral gumdrop studs or a fresh pair of gold "all wrapped up" bow studs!

next week is my birthday week (yay?) i'm not super excited because i'm turning 23, and it's kind of a lame-ish birthday but i am excited to celebrate all week long on color me courtney, starting with sharing my bday wish list...

i'm dying for a pair of tortoise karen walkers (i have the black but keep wishing they were tortoise for summer!) a new camera (mine's an oldie, i'm looking at the cannon rebel eos! any thoughts,opinions or reviews on this guy? please share!) and a record-player/turn-table for my living room!

she's feeling twenty two

yesterday, one of my favorite people turned 22!
so of course we celebrated in style...

little miss channing pickett is a darling superstar in the making. i'm constantly in awe by her beauty, charm and poise and i cannot wait to see her name in lights where it most certainly belongs! so here's to you chan, i hope 22 treats you like the queen you most certainly are!

tutu .. twenty two

cue the confetti, it's time for another hopeless hostess celebratory post! && this post is long over-due, for it reflects my twenty second (tutu) ballet birthday breakfast

the hopeless hostess knows no occasion is too small to celebrate, so of course when her special day comes around she starts the day of right... with a tutu inspired ballet birthday breakfast. she also doesn't like to break the bank so she whips up a quick pdf invite, and includes it in an email to her ballerina's to be.

We're all a bit mad here...

Today the hopeless hostess takes on a most peculiar tea party, inspired by mad hatter's "un-birthday" tea extravaganza as featured in Alice in Wonderland!
