Fashionably Late

Today I'll teach you how to dress up your basic graphic tee to make it office ready, party perfect or date-night-worthy (I know, I'm totally rocking your world right now). You'll be amazed at how 3 easy steps will transform your favorite tee from weekend casual to semi-dressy; so hold on to your tee's ladies, cause here we gooo!

My graphic tee obsession has hit an all time high (remember this post, and this one with waffie!) and with awesome brands like ILY Couture out there with the cutest (and softness) graphic tees that fit just right, I see no shame in investing in a tee or two. G-Tee's are perfect for weekends or casual wear, but what about the 9-5, a night out with girlfriends or even after dinner drinks with a special someone? Well Today I come bearing good news, I'm sharing 3 easy tips and tricks to dress up any simple graphic tee for a slightly swanky occasion ... don't worry, you can thank me later ;)!
Step 1: Tuck it in!
Start with a super snuggly graphic tee (I'm such a sucker for soft tee's, they are always worth the slightly higher price tag... always) that is somewhat form fitted, and tuck it into a midi skirt! I choose to pair mine with a black leather midi for an added layer of luxe, but really any midi will work! If your tee is a little on the slouchier side, give it a front tuck and let the rest hang out, for more of a downtown vibe.
Step 2: Pump it up!
Add a little height (and glam) to your tee by stepping into a printed pump. The few extra inches will pair perfectly with the midi length, even if you're fun sized like me! Plus a little bit of leopard adds a hint of pattern play while continuing to dress up the look without going over the top. If you like to push the envelope, take things one step further by adding an additional pop with a bright colored bag, because who doesn't love a little bit of color! I'm super into this magenta/radiant orchid color with teal & black for Fall, dang you Pantone, I guess it really is the color of the year.
Step 3: Bling,Bling!
The third and final step for dressing up your graphic tee, is also the sparkliest (cue the celebratory jazz hands)! Add a little razzle dazzle to the look with a statement necklace, find one that sits right at the neckline of the tee without covering any of the graphic magic that is going on. Although you want to bring on the bling, try to keep things simple with neutral colors and gems!

And that's it! consider your world (and your wardrobe) rocked ;)
